Grand Rapids native, Patrick Kampfer, spent months hiking through 14 states, 2,190 miles and 5,000,000 steps on the Appalachian Trail. Pat has raised over $12,000 for the Pediatric Oncology Resource Team (P.O.R.T.) and neuroblastoma research at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The hike and charitable drive was in honor or Pat’s daughter, Lily, who fought off neuroblastoma as an infant, and in memory of Ashleigh Marie Kieliszewski, Molly Allison Cavera and Sarah Danielle Kaper. All of these beautiful little girls were fighting this terrible disease together.
