Family Medicine

When in doubt, call us first. If you or a family member needs care and you’re not sure where to go – emergency department, urgent care center, or doctor’s officecall us first—even if it’s late at night, a weekend or a holiday. Your Spectrum Health primary care team knows your medical history and can help determine the best place for you to seek help. Your Spectrum Health doctor has someone answering calls 24 hours a day.

A family medicine practice cares for you and your family's total well-being, everything from small aches and pains to chronic health conditions. We help our patients lead a healthier life and prevent illnesses before they develop through regular checkups, proper diet, exercise and medical advice.

Should a health condition arise that requires care from another specialist, your family physician will guide and coordinate all aspects of your care, many of which are available from the multispecialty physicians within the Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Spectrum Health Medical Group employs highly qualified family medicine providers. We care for patients through every stage of their lives, from infancy through adulthood. Our family medicine physicians focus on nurturing an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship to treat the all diseases and conditions that affect the human body.
